In states that choose to participate, more people will be covered by Medicaid. In these states, in 2014, the income cutoff for Medicaid eligibility will rise to roughly $14,000 dollars a year for an individual or $29,000 for a family of four. Some states are not participating, though, and others are still undecided, so you need to find out where your state stands.
